Trace Webster

"All Nite Skate" is a very personal film

for Executive Producer, George "Trace" Webster III. He not only skated the rink floors, nearly every weekend and 'All Nite Skates' with the real Nick, Paul, Adam and Gabe, Trace has been a key role in Spoon Pictures Productions since their start in 1993.

Trace has worked on graphically illustrating the various Spoon Pictures Productions Logos throughout the past few decades and has played a pivotal role in acting in the films and helping with the behind the scenes as the company itself grew.

Trace is extremely proud of the work the cast and crew did in bringing this special story to life and for helping shepard this film with his producing talents.

Nick Murphy

Filmmaker Nick Murphy returns back to his hometown of Jackson, to tell the scrappy story of the little indie film that could. Made for a micro-budget, this feature rolls right into your heart in a wonderful, warm, nostalgic trip back to roller skating and the 1990s.

Nick worked at the Jackson Skate Center as the DJ and also made movies with his high school friends, from action/comedies, to heartfelt drama,to Mortal Kombat fan films, Nick's early films captured a ton of heart on display, despite lack of budgets.

In 1996 when Nick was 18 years old -- he sold everything he had, saved up two weekends worth of DJ money from the rink and headed out to Los Angeles with just over 600 bucks in his pocket.

25 years have passed since that fateful trip out West to follow his filmmaking dreams, but Nick never forgot the Jackson Skate Center, those dear friends he made along the way and the legacy that rink left behind.

A lot of the old local rink rat community came together and made large sacrifices and volunteered on the production of ANS. Together, with various levels from super green to professionals, the ANS crew formed the indie Avengers to face enormous obstacles with a very limited budget and hardly any resources..

The result is a deeply personal film for everyone, that tells the story of a place that was home to a lot of rink rats that skated it's warped, wooden floors.

As a filmmaker, Nick has also made, Tomb Raider: Tears of the Dragon, the first and one of the biggest and most explosive Tomb Raider Fan Films (also aired on G4). As well as action/comedy, "Pizza and Bullets" and finally, his most personal, heartfelt film, All Nite Skate.

Executive Producer

AJ Koehler

AJ Koehler is an independent producer, actor, and writer known for "All Nite Skate", the Tom Green and Les Stroud comedy, "Interviewing Monsters and Big Foot", the thriller/drama "Two Heads" and the upcoming supernatural tale, "The Spring". She also founded Motion Dog Films and is the editor for 573 magazine.

AJ also co-produced two short films with ANS EP Gretchen Griggs. The festival winning horrow short film, 'Elliot' as well as co-producing and starring in the YouTube holiday hit short, "Christmas Crap."

AJ remains a driven and creative force in the mid-western independent film and art scenes. AJ was absolutely commited to bringing 'All Nite Skate' to life because of her own personal ties to the Jackson Skate Center in the film. AJ found herself skating the warped wooden floors and under limbo sticks almost every weekend. It was there she met life long friends, Nick, Paul, Trace, Lucas, Gabe and Adam.

Decades later, not only would she end up marrying Adam from the rink, and they would work together on many film projects, often Adam running sound for her.

AJ worked tirelessly alongside the other producers, using her network and experience from producing three other local feature films to help obtain locations, picture vehicles, help with press and media interviews, find crew and even found herself working closely with ANS EP Gretchen Griggs in the casting process for All Nite Skate.

AJ and Gretchen were key in finding the local talent for most of the roles in ANS. Having grown up at the rink, she knew the actors to find. Without AJ and Gretchen bringing in the talent from a lot of surrounding performing art schools, drama clubs and open casting calls, All Nite Skate would have never found it's cast of superstars.

The roles of Nick, Nikki and Trace were found in Los Angeles.

Executive Producer

Gretchen Griggs

Gretchen Griggs is an independent film producer in the mid-west known for, 'All Nite Skate', and the horror short film festival winner, 'Elliot'. She also produced the YouTube Holiday smash short comedy short film, 'Christmas Crap' starring and co-produced by ANS EP AJ Koehler.

Gretchen also had a hand  as Executive Producer for the upcoming docu-crime series, "The Local Whisper" with producer/filmmaker and 'ANS' alumn, Regan Ernst.

Gretchen fell in love with the story of the true coming of age tale of a group of rink rats from the old Jackson Skate Center.
Gretchen also worked in the role of casting director with ANS EP, AJ Koehler to  find a lot of the local and fresh talent for 'All Nite Skate's amazing cast! Gretchen worked at each casting call,  and rounds of auditions, scouting and finding the local talent from all across the state.

Gretchen and AJ moved mountains for every frame of footage in the scrappy indie production of 'All Nite Skate'. Gretchen was heavily involved in every aspect of per-production, production and post.

Gretchen worked closely with AJ Koehler to discover the fresh new talent found in casting 'All Nite Skate'. Gretchen helped facilitate, organize and execute both rounds of casting for ANS.

Gretchen worked tirelessly every filming day for 'All Nite Skate', working with the cast and crew in getting every filming day in the can. Gretchen was a key player in helping getting 'All Nite Skate' rolling along in front of the cameras with the rest of the producing team.

Gretchen has other film projects and short films currently in development.

Scott Lipke

'All Nite Skate' is executive producer Scott A. Lipke's first feature film. Scott was instrumental in helping the team secure and acquire locations. As well as helping keep the cast and crew set up at base camps. Scott was key in helping the talent with key and  essential accommodations during the production of ANS.

When production needed hard drives, or things flown in, Scott was the leader in making that happen for the team. Scott worked closely with 'All Nite Skate' Executive Producers Gretchen Griggs and AJ Koehler in both production and post production. Scott would give creative notes and feedback on various edits of the film.

Inspired by his experiences on set of 'All Nite Skate', Scott hopes to continue producing productions in the future.

"All Nite Skate" is the first film from executive producer, Shane Lodi. A long time fan of cinema and a former rink rat of the Puxico Skating rink, 'All Nite Skate's' story really spoke to him as one he wanted to see told.

Shane is also the director of programming and talent acquisitions for the Cape Girardeau Comic Con.

Shane was essential in handling the talent on set, as well as working side by side with the crew in multiple departments. Shane worked closely with PJ Gaynard and the camera department, as well as working side by side with director Nick Murphy during all aspects of production.

Shane was also responsible for finding additional funding needed to continue production and also find the budget necessary for the films additional shooting schedule in May of 2019. Shane worked with all of the other EP's of 'All Nite Skate' on multiple production meetings.

'All Nite Skate' was an experience Shane was very proud to help produce. Shane dove head first into all aspects of producing and was a key player in bringing this story to the screen.

A multi-faceted composer and conductor, Christopher Anderson-Bazzoli (b. 1969) creates music with enduring appeal across cultures and genres. His well-crafted and deeply-felt scores for the studio and indie film worlds, his innovative compositions for the classical concert stage, and his skilled musical direction for artists from across the pop music spectrum have earned him a reputation as a musician with a collaborative spirit and emotional intelligence.

Once a student of film scoring masters Henry Mancini and David Raksin, Anderson-Bazzoli was nominated for an Emmy Award at age twenty-one for his first professional score: A Year to Remember on CBS News. LA Weekly praised his score for the Civil War drama Shooting Creek (Starz/Encore) as “wonderful period music” while Variety described Revolution OS (dist. 7th Art, Sundance Channel) as coming “complete with a nice soundtrack, unusual for this kind of documentary.” He has composed innovative and potent scores for the Venezuelan thriller Elipsis (dist. 20th Century Fox), the award-winning Swedish short Without Snow, the animated action feature Angel Wars: The Messengers (Fox Faith Video), and The Wind and the Water (aka Burwa Dii Ebo) – a collaborative feature film project by Vero Bollow and the Igar Yala Collective of Panama, which received its acclaimed premiere at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival. Anderson-Bazzoli is also the recipient of the prestigious Sundance Composers Lab Fellowship (2003).

As a conductor and orchestrator Christopher Anderson-Bazzoli has provided musical direction for actor Harry Shear's return as Derek Smalls from 'This Is Spinal Tap' for a nationwide tour.

Chris and filmmaker Nick Murphy's friendship extends back to the Spoon Pictures action/comedy hit, "Pizza and Bullets". Chris composed the entire original score for the film. That score can be found on Band Camp.

Nick was extremely excited to work with Chris again on ANS and Chris's original score elevates the themes and feelings of two very important scenes in 'All Nite Skate'. and the characters who are growing up and facing the world.

Cherie

Cherie Bancroft-Markham

with Puxico Rink Owner
Jackie Hawthorne Riggins on the All Nite Skate set. (2018)

Cherie Bancroft-Markham joined the crew of 'All Nite Skate' shortly after the crew locked Puxico Skating Rink location for the film. Cherie majored in art studies and sculpture from Southeast Missouri State University. Cherie excels at welding and crafting huge art installations, sculpture work, painting, and drawing. Cherie is also a jack of all trades, able to produce the one prop you need, or piece of time traveled 90s trinkets.

Cherie was essential in building the scrappy art department to transform the rink into day for night shoots. As well as lovingly building the Jackson Skate Center wooden sign that attached to the side of the Puxico Rink.

The wooden sign was re-built from the original wooden floor of the Jackson Skate Center and was donated to the production from a local former JSC employee from the 70's, Cathy, who worked there. Cherie had enough of the rink floor to build out a 25 foot sign for the film.

Cherie took on so many roles during the production of ANS, and without her, our wheels would have fallen off. Thank you, Cherie!

Christy Moore not only acted in 'All Nite Skate' as Jennifer's struggling, single mom, Shirley, she was also the films script supervisor! It was a challenge and role that Christy stepped up for. She showed up every day to help keep the props, scenes, actors and continuity flowing from scene to scene.

Christy's eyes near the monitor really helped filmmaker Nick Murphy and cinematographer PJ Gaynard keep everything organized from scene to scene. Christy's eye for detail was integral for the 2019 additional filming of 'All Nite Skate', where she also assisted in the art department in bringing key film sets back to life. We absolutely could not have made this incredible journey without your many talents, Christy! Thank you!!

Christy currently teaches art for Saxony High School in Missouri.
